Papa and Mimi’s visit to Texas

It was very exciting to have them come visit us here in Texas. Our family goal was to get then to move here. Well that goal is still in the works, but they did stay a few extra days. I was very nice to be together.  We spent some time touring the nearby lakes looking for a vacation home. It is amazing what you can buy here. For what we sold our town home in CA you can buy a lake view house with a boat dock. Now that is trading up.  We also took a girls trip to Dallas to visit the American Girl Doll Store to do some shopping and have tea. While Leo and Papa spent the day at Cabela’s for people that don’t know what that is click on the following link.  http://www.cabelas.com/retail-stores-fort-worth.shtml  It was a very wonderful visit for everyone. We are counting down the days to we visit CA. Miss you all.

New Friendship...cherishing the old ones

The girls have been in school for 13 days. We are very excited about the new school. The girls get to participate in art, music and PE each week. The school is teaching the children to be organized and  good citizens of Texas. I have been helping out in Aubree's class and really enjoy seeing all the school has to offer. As much as I enjoyed homeschooling the last few years it is  rewarding to see the girls in this social and academic environment. Kaylee was so excited the first week to buy lunch at the cafeteria. Aubree was thrilled to have the play ground for recess. Another favorite thing we get to do each morning is walk to school. We feel very blessed to be in such a great community to be able to do that. The girls keep pestering me to walk by them selves...that won't happen. We really are trying to make the best out of this big move it has been very hard on the girls and I. We do miss all of our friends and family. We have been blessed with people we are slowly meeting, but it make us miss all of you even more in CA. Thank you for all of your love and support you have given us. Below is a family that we meet the first week of school. As you can see a set of sisters, the same ages as Kaylee and Aubree. It gets better they are in the same class and live two streets over. The topper on the cake they just moved here from Chicago.Through this hard time I just keep tell myself to look for the blessing they are around.
